The Florae Collective is composed of an intergenerational group of five north Queensland women. Alexandra Boscacci, Bernadette Boscacci, Ellen Clark, Katherine Cornwall and Naomi Smith each share an interest in arts and culture, and value the positive holistic effects that plants and nature have on health and wellbeing.
Based in Gurambilbarra / Townsville, the artists are motivated to include and provide spaces for plants within their homes, communities and workplaces. They advocate for greater interaction with plants and their presence in our shared environments through conservation, cultivation, art and design. The collective’s creative projects and artworks span multiple mediums, disciplines and styles which provides fertile ground for a dynamic creative dialogue and collaboration.
